Malinda WWWIP Week 4
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! My blog this week will be covering Link's wig.
I started with an Inigo in Ginger Blonde. This style has a pre-teased top, which gives a bit more ease for spiking. It also has enough length for his low ponytail in the back.
I started with the top and worked my way down. Use a hairdryer to create a side part and pull more hair from the crown area forward. You can use heat from a flat iron to shape spikes, such as the ones on top that curl up a tad. I find it easier to do all heat training first before setting with hairspray. Most of the spikes were set with Got2b Glued freeze spray alone, though I did use a small dot of hair glue to keep the tips of a few spikes together.
I made sure to leave enough hair in front of the ears for his forelocks. I was kind of winging it, but you can plan out the style with clips or bobby pins to make sure you have enough hair for each section.
Ponytails can make a wig fit larger or smaller, so tie the tail while you’re wearing it for the best fit. I then trimmed the tail and nape.
Since I needed to style a second one of these for Harl’s Snowquill Link, I filmed the process!
