Jess WWWIP Week 8
Hello crafters!
This week I took some time to work on details!
To start off, I wanted to make the earrings Howl wears and the matching rings that he and Sophie share. I purchased a pair of earrings that had a similar drop bead and added in a red bead for more accurate detail.
For the rings, I took blank silver bands and attached the red and blue gems to the top and beads around the sides. I think they turned out really nicely!
In addition to knocking the jewelry out, I built my feet this week! I started with a foam base and my shoes and built outward. I covered the foam in fleece to create a consistent texture and color. I then laid strips of vinyl over them to give them a look similar to a crow's feet! The claws were made of tinfoil covered in Worbla scrap and sanded down.
I finalized them with black paint and a gloss topcoat. I’m becoming a birdman at last!
